We’re thrilled to announce the return of ‘The Band Upstairs’, offering us an evening of fabulous live music featuring jazz classics, vocals and instrumentals, with something new every time.  Join us for an evening of relaxing, listening, socialising – and even dancing if you wish! There will even be a ‘bar’ available if you wish to make a donation in return for refreshments – and not forgetting the raffle!

COST? £10 per ticket, payable in cash on the door

WHEN? Saturday 3rd June 7.30 – 10.30

WHERE?  The Jubilee Centre (home of The Light Church), Jermyn Street, Bradford BD1 4EJ

WHY? All funds raised will go to our McKenzie Friends project which supports people seeking asylum without access to legal representation.

Our biggest fundraiser every year is our sponsored walk during Refugee Week, this year on Wednesday 21st June. The Refugee Week theme this year is ‘Compassion’ and we are calling this our ‘WALK OF WELCOME’. We plan to walk together and show how links can be made and communities can be joined in welcoming all with compassion, in particular those seeking sanctuary with us. We have a new, slightly shorter route based purely in the city of Bradford and visiting some of the different communities and organisations who demonstrate this compassion.
