We’re recruiting new McKenzie Friends volunteers!

We’re looking for new McKenzie Friends volunteers to join our passionate and dynamic team!

McKenzie Friends volunteers support asylum seekers who have no access to legal representation, assisting them to access legal representation after an asylum refusal and accompanying asylum seekers to appeal hearings.

This is a rewarding opportunity to improve the life chances of some of our community’s most vulnerable people and is an interesting and fulfilling role.  Through the skills and commitment of our volunteers, we can support asylum seekers to access justice, whenever possible.

A role description is available to download here.

Interested applicants are asked to complete a volunteer application form available to download here and return it to mckenziefriends@beaconbradford.org no later than Friday 14th February.

Interviews are scheduled to take place on Friday 28th February, which will be followed by a comprehensive training session.

If you’d like further information or to have a brief chat about the role, please email Audrey Smith at mckenziefriends@beaconbradford.org or call us on 0330 113 7644 / 07531 576330.

We look forward to receiving your application!
